The benefits of cold water swimming or wild swimming range from the physical, it boosts the immune system to the mental, it gives you an extreme dopamine boost. I love cold water swimming in Scotland. Wild swimming has become huge in the uk. Cold water swimming solo is a great way to get outside and on a microadventure.


During a divorce and a breakup or separation, it’s important to take care of yourself. You have to value and love yourself. It may seem as though self-care doesn’t exist outside of Instagram sometimes but it does! Real self-care is not as glamorous as a long bath with chocolate and wine but looking out for your physical and mental health is so important.

Your mental health can become worse but it can also get better. Wild swimming is just one of many fantastic activities that you can take part in to give yourself a mental health boost.
