Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Bestop TrailMax II Fold & Tumble Rear Bench. This is going to replace a factory rear bench for your 1997 through 2006 Jeep Wrangler, which is the TJ models. This is going to be a bolt-on installation in your Jeep, it will replace the front floor mounts, so that you can get this mounted in place. You'll reuse that original hardware from the original floor mounts and add these in place, and then on the backside, we are gonna add a striker plate here in the center, so you'll pull up your seatbelt mount, unscrew the screw that's holding that down with the bolt holding it down, and you'll put this underneath it and then bolt that back down, again, reusing that original hardware. So this is going to retain the full functionality of your original seat, you'll be able to fold it forward by pulling on the side lever here, and then you'll just undo that latch there, and it will allow you to tilt it forward, so that you have more cargo space.
Or you can still remove the seat completely if you want even more space. There are a couple additional features with the seat over your factory seat, one is that you're gonna have these two headrests, so these are adjustable. As you can see, we've got several different height settings that we can set these to, or we can remove them completely if you don't want headrests, so that's an option there, additional feature. And then we also have a zippered pocket in the back of the seat here, so we can easily store small items like maps and that sort of thing in the back of our seat, so couple additional features, but for the most part, it's gonna retain the same functionality as your factory seat. This is a premium fabric, and it's going to be designed to resist damage from the elements like mildew and UV rays, so it is going to hold up really well even with your regular wear and tear.
Obviously, Jeep life is pretty rough and tumble, so that's gonna hold up to that as well. This does come in multiple different colors, so the one that I have here is our fabric black denim, there's also the charcoal as you see on the screen there and the spice available, they're all the same build, the same quality materials, just different color schemes. There's also vinyl options, so if you want, you can go with the vinyl black, the vinyl black denim, or the spice. And there might be a little bit of a question in your mind of what's the difference between the black and the black denim. So I've got a close up here for you, so you can kinda see the black has that more traditional vinyl texture to it, the black denim has more of a fabric type texture, but all of those are gonna be a great compliment to the materials inside your Jeep already.
And then underneath the fabric, we are gonna have internal springs with variable rate of resistance, so they are going to add support when there's added pressure, so it's gonna make your trips down the road or the trail a much smoother experience. Then we also have high density closed-cell foam that's gonna provide a nice firm, comfortable ride and help maintain your seat shape. That foam is treated with a waterproof skin to help prevent water logging, so even if you get water in your Jeep, your seat's gonna hold up well, you're not gonna have to worry about that foam becoming water logged. Underneath the springs and the foam, we do have a sturdy, corrosion-resistant atlas frame that is hand welded for added strength, and it does have an electrostatically painted layer to help resist corrosion, so will hold up really well for you. So if you are looking to replace that original factory rear seat in your Jeep, whether the original has become damaged or faded, it's time to get a new one, or if you've taken it out in the past and it's no longer around, this is gonna do a great job giving you that added passenger capacity and still allowing you to have all that space in the back that you want.
So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..
