The saggy trunk lid of this BMW 6 series has been causing a headache for the last 2-3 months, so we replaced the old boot struts to new ones (stabilus).

It took me 2 hours of work.
you will need:

- size 40 torx for 2 storage net screws
- PH1 philips head scredriver for 4 screws
- pliers for plastic grommets
- hoover to eliminate embedded dust & debris
- sharp knife to release spring on struts
- WD40
- dry towel to clean strut ballheads
