‌Syed Arefin is an actor who is more active in regional TV. He hails from Calcutta, West Bengal and was born and brought up in this city only. He did his schooling from Deshbandhu Vidyalaya Boys in Calcutta. He then completed his graduation from the University of Calcutta. During his school and college days, he always wanted to be an actor and thus remained at the forefront in cultural activities. He acted in a number of plays and drama that made him enter into the field of acting. Once he completed his education, he remained part and parcel of theatre and then did a number of plays. While he was busy doing his theatre he also got in touch with regional TV series makers and one of them offered him a TV show.

This made him enter into the small screen in EEE Bengali TV. One of his popular TV show is Irabotir Chupkotha. He is currently doing this show. Syed Arefin is playing the role called Akash Chatterjee who is former NRI and businessman. The TV show is in its first season, which has been on the air since September 2018. The show has 96 episodes in the first season and the makers have the plans to extend to several seasons. Currently, the actor is based in Mumbai and has still remained the part of Bengali TV only. The TV Serial is aired at the popular regional channel known as Bengali GEC Star Jalsha.

Talking about his personal life, he is very much single and not willing to mingle anyone. Despite being the most eligible bachelor in town, he is still single and is now focussing in his career only. He is very much active in social media and is seen posting one thing or the other social networking sites like Facebook. He is currently promoting the Happy New Year, which is to be aired at the Star Jalsha Channel. He will be hosting the show with another lady this New Year Eve.
