kayaking from old Ilford bridge to the Captain's Club Hotel in Christchurch. First time paddling the Midway on a river and I was surprised at how different it was. Less primary stability and harder to paddle due I guess to the boat sitting a tad lower in fresh water compared to salt. It felt like I was paddling through treacle.
However I was rewarded for going out early with seeing several herons so a great couple of hours. It's split into two videos so part 2 to come which is the return trip.
