Bait Al Nuaman Fort is one of the most notable historical tourist attractions in the Wilayat of Barka. Many tourists visit this historical and architectural monument. “For centuries, the journey from Muscat to the seat of Ya'aribah's rule at Al Rustaq and Al Hazm on the backs of camels and horses was arduous. “In the middle of the road between Muscat and Al Rustaq, Bait Al Nuaman Fort was built in the 17th century as a rustic shelter, as well as a guest house for the imams of Ya'aribah during their travels to and from the capital at Al Rustaq. Bait Al Nuaman Fort is believed to have been built around 1691-1693 during the reign of Imam Bal'arab bin Sultan, who had his seat of rule at Jibreen Fort. It is also believed that Bait Al Nuaman Fort was built on the initiative of Imam Saif bin Sultan al Ya'rubi, brother of Imam Bal'arab bin Sultan."
