When a housewife awakens in the morning, she discovers that her husband, who was lying next to her, has been shot. Given that her fingerprints are on the murder weapon and that her blood-soaked nightgown was discovered thrown in the washing machine, police believe the wife is the primary suspect. Even though the wife is innocent, she nevertheless makes it out. What made the wife flee, then? Is she being held captive by those who killed her husband, or is she evading the police?
