Using the New Android 12 One-Handed Mode Feature

Описание к видео Using the New Android 12 One-Handed Mode Feature

Android 12 is almost here and Google is letting us try out all of the new features it includes. One new addition is Google's version of one-handed mode and some people are already complaining about it.

One-Handed Mode is a feature that many OEMs have added to their version of Android already. Each company implemented the feature in their own unique way and that is how Google did it as well.

The feature is disabled by default but once we go in and turn it on then we can activate it by swiping down on the floating pill element that sits at the bottom of the screen.

It can take a while to get used to the trigger point but once done it should only take a second or two to enter and exit the new one handed mode feature in Android 12 Beta 2.

It looks as if Google is scrolling the screen down half way when we activate this feature. Which is different than how we've seen other OEMs use the feature.

This adds the benefit of not shrinking the text but then makes the bottom half the screen disappear.

I can see why it was implemented this way but it will take some time to get used to.
