Ditch the CLICK! My secret for producing tracks with FEELING!

Click tracks hurt. They are stiff, lifeless, boring, and uninspiring. Instead, I'm using Superior Drummer 3, Pro Tools, and a couple of percussion instruments to add feel and vibe to this track. The other musicians will have something good sounding to play to, and I won't have to listen to the BONK CLANK CLONK of the click for hours on end. Win/Win.

Feel is everything. Dynamics and touch are two things that make a good drummer stand out from the rest. In this video, I go over my approach to getting a good feel using a Novation launchpad, SD3, brushes, an old snare head, and a homemade shaker.

I'm using Pro Tools Ultimate, but many of the processes shown in this video will translate to any DAW.
