Troy Lee Designs: The A3 Half Shell, Ridden and Reviewed

With refined styling and safety features based on the A2, but a fit based on the ever popular A1 (albeit with even more protection), the Troy Lee Designs A3 is their flagship helmet. Aimed at the trail/all-mountain category, the A3 features dual density EPS and EPP foam for a more protective crumple zone, a visor that accommodates goggles and will shear off in a crash, and 16 large vents (3 more than the A2), my few weeks in the TLD A3 have shown it to be a helmet that checks all the boxes.
