For fans of the more speculative type of video I explain, based on the lore, common sense and history what fate likely befell the pope in Nineteen-Eighty-Four.

While Orwell only mentions the pope in passing in the novel, I belief by using what we do know about the likely structure of Eurasia, as well as the general attitude towards religious both in-universe and historically that we can construct a decent scenario of his and the Catholic Church's fate.

WARNING: the ultimate fate of the pope in this scenario may be disturbing for some viewers, so discretion is advised.
