Today we ask the age old question: What are the worst drinks in the world? Actually, in China - they've already thought about that, and there's a whole challenge built around it!

In 2016, a Weibo challenge went around in which participants had to down, or at least try, each of these five drinks:

1. Scream (尖叫 Jian Jiao), a sports drink that's pretty popular, actually. However, this particular flavor....not so good or popular.

2. Oriental Leaf Wulong Tea (东方树叶), an unsweetened Oolong Tea that can be bought at any local convenience store in China.

3. Gewasi Fermented Bread Drink (格瓦斯 Gewasi) This is a weird one. Imagine bread. Imagine a drink. Imagine infusing the flavors of bread into a sweet, carbonated drink. Yeah, that's unique. I've never heard of anything like that before. It's a fairly commonly seen drink, though. I hadn't ever tried it, though. Lucky for you all! Haha

4. Hey Song Sarsparilla (黑松沙士 heisong shashi). It's basically your run of the mill sarsparilla or root beer. Good stuff, but tough for Chinese people to drink, because it reminds them of this mosquito repellent called 风油精 (fengyoujing).

5. Laoshan White Snake Grass Water (崂山白花蛇草水 laoshan bai shecao shui). I'm not sure what to really say about this one. It's supposedly a super health drink with damn near magical properties. Fight cancer, prevent cancer, detox, supplement, blah blah blah. It's kind of ridiculous the kinds of things they think it can do. But whatever, don't knock it till you try it, right?
