Hasegawa Residence Hokuriku's oldest nationally designated important tangible cultural property

旧長谷川家住宅は、江戸時代初期から庄屋を務めた古民家で長岡市が公開しております。
The former Hasegawa family residence is an old folk house that has served as a shoya since the early Edo period and is open to the public by Nagaoka City.Niigata Pref.Japan

武士の出身といわれる長谷川家が、塚野山に居を構えたのは江戸時代の初め頃です。
以来山村地主としての地位を固め、代々庄屋を勤めてきました。
The Hasegawa family, who are said to have come from samurai, settled in Tsukanoyama in the early Edo period. Since then, he has solidified his position as a mountain village landlord and has been working as a shoya for generations.

幕末から明治にかけては近郊4か村の耕地や山林の7割を独占し、180町歩余の、田から4000俵もの小作料をあげた豪農です。
From the end of the Edo period to the Meiji era, it was a wealthy farmer who monopolized 70% of the cultivated land and forests of four suburbs and raised 4,000 bales of rent from rice fields in 180 towns.

現在の母屋は茅葺寄棟造りの約300年前に建築されたもので、周囲には幅２～４ｍのお堀を巡らし、その内側には土塁生垣、正面には城門級の大扉のある長屋門形式の茅葺寄棟造りの表門があります。
The current main building was built about 300 years ago with a thatched-roofed hipped roof, and has a moat with a width of 2 to 4 m around it. There is a thatched-roofed front gate in the style of a Nagaya gate.

敷地は街道に面した間口約70メートル、奥行120メートルと広大な物で、周囲に濠をめぐらせているのが特徴です。
The site is a vast object with a frontage of about 70 meters and a depth of 120 meters facing the highway, and is characterized by a moat surrounding it.

主屋は宝永3年（1706）の大火で類焼し、享保元年（1716）に再建されたと伝えられています。邸内には北陸最古の豪農の館であることを示す建築様式が随所にみられます。
It is said that the main building was burned by a large fire in Hoei 3 (1706) and rebuilt in the first year of Kyoho (1716). Architectural styles that indicate that it is the oldest mansion of a wealthy farmer in Hokuriku can be seen everywhere in the residence.

--松籟閣--
朝日酒造創業家の古民家・松籟閣(ショウライカク）は昭和初期、朝日酒造の創立者である平澤與之助が建てた住宅です。松籟とは松の梢を吹く風の音のこと。
Shoraikaku, an old folk house founded by Asahi Sake Brewery, was built by Yonosuke Hirasawa, the founder of Asahi Sake Brewery, in the early Showa period.Pine rattan is the sound of the wind blowing through the pine treetops.

伝統的な日本家屋に、アールデコ様式の丸窓やステンドグラスなどの装飾を採り入れています。
正玄関は前方に入母屋造妻入形式、総ケヤキ造の車寄を備えています。正玄関に続く寄付室の東面の一角には、外套（がいとう）掛けや電話を置いていたことから、客溜り的な空間であったことが分かります。火頭窓には曇りガラスをはめ込む格子窓が建てられています。これでもかと言うほど細いケヤキの桟が組まれ、松葉崩の模様があしらわれています。否応なく目に焼き付くこの造形によって、招客はこの建物の名を脳裏に刻み込むことになります。
2001年に製品倉庫建設に伴い曳家で移築し、 2018年に重要文化財となりました。
Traditional Japanese houses are decorated with Art Deco round windows and stained glass.
The main entrance is equipped with a zelkova-style car door in front of it. In the corner of the east side of the donation room leading to the main entrance, there was a cloak and a telephone, so you can see that it was a space full of customers. The fire head window has a lattice window in which frosted glass is fitted. Even with this, a thin zelkova crosspiece is assembled, and the pattern of pine needle collapse is decorated. This sculpture, which inevitably burns into the eyes, engraves the name of the building in the minds of the guests.
It was relocated by the structure relocation in 2001 with the construction of a product warehouse, and became an important cultural property in 2018.
