When I condition the clay using my pasta machine, I use setting 3. I do the Skinner Blend through setting 2, and the very thin sheet of clay is put through setting 9. For those rolling the clay by hand – setting 9 on my machine is 1 playing card thickness, setting 3 is 5 cards, setting 2 is 6 cards and setting 6 is 2 cards thickness.

Gilder’s Paste is available from good craft stores and online. Goldfinger is one brand, but others are also available. Check out places to find it near you.

I used 0.6mm jewellery wire with wire cutter and round nosed jewellery pliers. These are easily available online/from all good bead stores.
