Michael Willoughby is an expert in the development of executive function skills in children. His work is broadly organized around the developmental causes, course and consequences of individual differences in executive function skills, with a specific interest in how changes in executive function during early childhood contribute to children’s school readiness and risk for disruptive behavior disorders. He holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in Psychology from Indiana University.
