Surrey BC's Real Estate Market Reality Check for 2024

One of our videos last month suggesting the January market was hotter than expected, received some understandably negative attention in the comments section. Aside from what our team experienced anecdotally, was January 2024 in fact busier than the average January in terms of sales activity?

In this month's Surrey Report, Surrey Real Estate Specialist, Steve Karrasch of Macdonald Realty reviews the FVREB stats from the past 15 years to determine whether January 2024 was hotter than the “average” January. As with every Surrey Report, the team also breaks down the January 2024 benchmark stats for the City of Surrey.

🏠 Detached = $1,599,100 (+8.2%)
🏘 Townhomes = $855,100 (+7.2%)
🌆 Condos = $540,300 (+4.2%)
