Join host Bruce Stout as he meets with leaders, experts and professionals in the areas of the arts, food and entertainment in the Sarasota/Bradenton area.

In this episode, Bruce is joined by Sally Ullman, a photographer and owner of Sally Ullman Photography, Gabe Garcia, co-owner of Miguel’s, a restaurant on Siesta Key, and Morgan Gerhart, Advancement Director for the Player’s Centre for the Performing Arts in Sarasota.

Sally discusses her background and love of travel, particularly to Africa to photograph the wildlife. We see several examples of her photos, as well as a video she recorded of a pride of lions. As well as taking and publishing her photos and videos, she also assists businesses and professionals to develop their brands as an Image Branding Consultant. In this role she helps differentiate her clients from their competitors, and ensure that their messages get across using images on their websites, social media presence, and through their promotional materials.

Gabe Garcia is chef and co-owner of Miguel’s, along with his brother Daniel. Located on Siesta Key, Miguel’s is a family owned restaurant specializing in French classic cuisine with Spanish nuances. The restaurant, which dates back to the early 1980’s, is known for its warm, family atmosphere. With Daniel working in the front, and Gabe managing the kitchen, diners have a wonderful experience of both food and fun!

Morgan Gerhart shares information about the Player’s Centre for the Performing Arts, which has a history dating back to the 1920’s, an active present, and a promising future. An incredibly inexpensive opportunity to see live performances, the actors include talented amateurs, retired professionals and students. Currently in its 90th season, the Players has a continuing lineup of productions, and Morgan shares a video highlighting these future presentations. She also shares the Centre’s plans for the future, including a move to a new facility that will have more stages and an expanded capacity.
