Abstract
The human lungs draw in air for breathing by creating reverse pressure, generated through the contraction of the diaphragm. In contrast, ventilators assist breathing by inflating the lungs using a pumping action.

A ventilator must be capable of delivering between 10 to 30 breaths per minute, with an adjustable increment setting of 2 breaths. Additionally, it should offer control over the air volume delivered with each breath. Another critical feature is the ability to regulate the inhalation-to-exhalation time ratio.

Moreover, the ventilator needs to monitor both the patient's blood oxygen levels and exhaled lung pressure to prevent over or under inflation.

The ventilator design we're developing uses Arduino to incorporate these essential features, aiming to create a reliable yet affordable DIY ventilator, particularly useful during pandemic situations.
