The vice mayor of a Florida city has been arrested for allegedly threatening a woman who was reportedly having an affair with her husband. Fort Meade Vice Mayor Maurice Nelson Campbell, 59, was taken into custody by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday morning. The arrest followed an investigation of a complaint from the victim, who told detectives that the two women had known each other for years, and Campbell had repeatedly harassed her. Campbell accused the victim of having an intimate relationship with her husband. In a voicemail, Campbell is heard saying: 'I’ll beat your mother-f**King a** down, you trifling b***h, stinking (expletive) (expletive). You rotten mother-f**ker, you rotten mother-f**ker!' Campbell was arrested and transported to the Polk County Jail. Her prior criminal history includes charges of aggravated assault with a deadly  weapon in Jacksonville, shoplifting in Orlando and petty larceny-failure to appear in Orange County.
