Congressman Beto O'Rourke honored Mitchell Marcus and Jonathon Montanez on the House Floor Monday for their sportsmanship that has now been seen across the globe.

Coronado Coach Peter Morales allowed team manager and special needs student Mitchell Marcus to suit up for the first time in the last game of the season to reward him for all his hard work. In the last minutes of the game, Coach Morales put Marcus in the game in the hope he could finally live out his dream. His team kept passing him the ball, but he never made a basket.

With only seconds left in the game, an opposing member of Franklin High School, Jonathon Montanez, passed the ball to Marcus, and he was able to make a basket just as the clock hit zero.

The crowd went crazy and carried Marcus off the court.
