The original MOLLE KONG™ Ball Pouch was designed to firmly hold a typical 2.5" tennis ball, or standard KONG toy. We say "firmly" because we felt it was necessary to prevent the ball or toy from jarring free while running an exercise alongside your dog. However, after receiving feedback that it was rather tight and somewhat difficult for some, we decided to gather more information on what we could do to improve the function.

There are two significant reasons behind the development of this larger pouch. Like many iterations of our products, the first was simple: no product on the market to accommodate the needs of handlers. The second, and probably more important reason, was discovered after talking to trainers and handlers ... Using a 3” ball was more desirable, preventing the potential of your dog choking on, or swallowing a smaller 2.5" ball.

Once we were aware of the safety concerns and desire for a larger size, it was a no brainer. The Large MOLLE KONG™ Ball Pouch was born.

The Large MOLLE KONG™ Ball Pouch is a bigger version of our staple “MKP”. This new "large" size will comfortably fit a 2.5” ball, as the original does, but with more room to easily access and retrieve the toy. Though it is called a MOLLE KONG™ Pouch, the new 3" size is best suited for a 3” ball on a rope. Don't let that stop you from using it to hold your favorite KONG, ball, or other round reward.
