I'm upgrading my headphone mixing setup and I'm switching to Mixing on Headphones! I'll try and explain more on why I made this decision on a follow up video but could this be the best move forward? Is the Audeze LCD-X with the Chord Hugo2 the best mixing headphone and DAC combo? Would it work as a professional mixing "system". TLDR this setup look really promising and I am loving this setup. I could take it anywhere and everything fits in a back pack. And I don't have to worry about room acoustics.

Today is a first look and impressions on this mixing combo upgrade. The combination of the Audeze LCD-X with the CHORD HUGO2 is looking like a formidable and a very reliable combination as a mixing headphone and DAC combo. I am super impressed with it and initial test mix really translate well. The amount of time to acclimate with the setup seems way less compared to getting to know your room and speakers setup. This is a very impressive mastering grade headphone and dac combo. I am enjoying this setup very much and I am looking forward to making records and mixing with the Audeze LCD-X and the Chord Hugo2.
