Joe Moser is viewed with Steve Hinton from Planes of Fame in Chino, California flying in a P-38 like the one he was shot down in during WWII. He was subsequently interrogated, sent to a Prison in Paris, transferred by train to Buchenwald, sent to the Great Escape Stalag shortly after that event, marched through winter storms hundreds of miles and eventually freed by Patton and his tanks. The book "A Fighter Pilot in Buchenwald" and the documentary "Lost Airmen of Buchenwald," tell his and the stories of 128 other pilots. Get it.... read it..... they gave you your freedom.
