Molly (Kate Hudson from Almost Famous and Bride Wars) comes down at night into the living room where Dupree (Owen Wilson from Starsky & Hutch and Midnight in Paris) sleeps and finds him masturbating with a sock from Carl (Matt Dillon from Crash). Shocked, she drops her drink, and Carl also arrives and asks Molly what she is doing with Dupree. He gets mad at Dupree, and because of him, Molly finds his old box of Chinese porn. They argue again because of Dupree. Carl asks Dupree how he feels about his wife, and even though Dupree denies it, Carl throws him out of his house, again.

What’s the You, Me and Dupree movie about?
On his return from his honeymoon, Carl Peterson (Matt Dillon from Crash), a real estate developer, learns that his friend Randy Dupree (Owen Wilson from Starsky & Hutch and Midnight in Paris) has lost his job and his home. Without bothering to consult his wife Molly (Kate Hudson from Almost Famous and Bride Wars), Carl offers his friend a place to stay for a few days. The days stretch into weeks, without Dupree doing anything to improve his situation. On the contrary, his retarded teenage gaffes and irreverent behaviour undermine the newlyweds' peace of mind a little more each day. His presence is all the more burdensome because on the professional front, Carl is mocked by his powerful boss, Molly's father, who never misses an opportunity to let him know that he's not up to the job.
