Its build started with a solid, original shell which was sand blasted to bare metal and augmented with minimal bodywork. Once its panels were as close to perfect as possible, a smooth coat of Epoxy primer was covered with several coats of Z-Chrome rust defender that were correspondingly block sanded every time they cured. When that exceptionally smooth rust defender was ready for paint, three coats of single stage R-M Uno were topped with two coats of 50% R-M Uno, 50% clearcoat and color sanded to the liquid smooth Green Go finish you see today.

Hoist this mean green machine's sculpted, freshly finished hood and you'll find an original 383 cubic inch Magnum V8 which wears a correct 2468130 casting number, an August (8) 18th (18) of 1970 (70) casting date and a 413074 partial VIN. Fully balanced, completely rebuilt and professionally detailed during the car's extensive frame-off restoration this big block mill is good for a nice, round 335 horsepower. At the top of the engine, a dual snorkel air cleaner, which is complete with fresh organisol paint and a bold "383 Magnum" topper, sends air into a chrome Edelbrock 650 carburetor that's fueled by fresh stainless fuel lines. Below that carburetor glossy, high-temp Hemi Orange coats the outside of the block from its pristine valve covers to its dent-free oil pan; and in front of that carburetor, a new points distributor shoots fire to the inside of the block through new Mopar Electronic Suppression plug wires. Spent gases are whisked into fully restored exhaust manifolds, and roared out of aluminized true dual exhaust pipes thanks to an aggressive Competition camshaft. And cooling is provided by a Chrysler four-core radiator which circulates a steady flow of water around a correct belt driven fan via brand new hoses and a high flow aluminum water pump.

The smooth revving Chrysler block churns torque through a professionally rebuilt A727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic transmission which, according to its 413074 partial VIN, is original equipment. Behind that transmission, a tough 8.75 Sure Grip rear end makes good use of stout 3.23 gears. At the ends of the floors, a fully rebuilt and completely powder coated front double A-arm and rear leaf spring suspension helps throw power to the ground and speed to the curves. And at the corners of the car, new 15 inch Rallye wheels spin fresh F60-15 Goodyear Polyglas GTs around satin finished trim rings and brand new center caps.

Inside this awesome green Mopar, a well-executed, fully restored black vinyl interior is simple, functional and looks as good as new. The front high-back bucket and rear bench seats are showroom fresh and display no signs of any wear at all. Below those seats, new black carpet is sandwiched between color-keyed, "Challenger R/T" floor mats and sound deadening insulation. At the sides of those seats, pristine molded door panels hang wood grain inserts, which are branded with cool, old-school Dodge fratzog emblems, between new chrome door handles, cool chrome lock tabs and four blue tipped window cranks. And above those seats, a taut and wrinkle-free headliner combines with a second layer of sound deadening insulation to keep the cockpit both cool and quiet. At the front of the car, a straight and fade-free dash hangs silk screened wood trim above a correct AM/FM multiplex stereo and controls for the modernized heat and air conditioning system. In the middle of the car, a full console frames a traditional Chrysler T-handle shifter in great looking chrome trimmed wood. And in front of the driver, a familiar wood rimmed steering wheel spins around a fully rebuilt and precisely calibrated Rallye instrument cluster that's complete with a standard tachometer, a 150 MPH speedometer and a continuous motion electric clock.
