Yikes, this hike started out heavenly and quickly went to hell! AI is wrong, the burning last 120 minutes, not 30-45!!!! If you do not have soap and water and it gets wet again the burning starts all over and repeats itself!!!!! I was determined to not waist an SOS on my Garmin, how bad could it get? Once I was walking again it was just me and 2 under wears, my wife's jacket, and a mosquito netting. We spent about 45 minutes trying to get the spray off, used half of our remining drinking water, and trying to see if the pain would subside. It did not so I decided to grin and "bear" it!!!!!!!!!! I was not wearing most of my clothes since they were saturated with bear spray that was discharged at close range and we had no way to clean them. I made the initial mistake of pouring water on my pants, it would have been better if I had removed them instantly and let them dry. Live and Learn :)))))
