The video tells the story of Fr. Stanley Rother, an Oklahoma-born priest who joined a diocesan mission team and served the Tz’utujil people in Santiago Atitlan, #Guatemala for 13 years. Fr. Stanley worked to educate, catechize and help the people, and even rode on a motorcycle to bring the Eucharist to remote areas. Despite being targeted by the government, he refused to leave his people, and was killed by three men in 1981. Fr. Stanley was beatified in 2017 and is the first U.S. born priest to be beatified. His body is buried in #Oklahoma, but his heart remains in Guatemala with his people.
