For the first episode of Returning to Love - RTL Talks, we are honoured to have with us Shivpreet Singh – someone whose voice has been a constant companion to so many of us.    / @shivpreetmusic  

Shivpreet ji does soulful kirtan, and because of his unique style of giving a context to shabads – sometimes personal and sometimes historical - he makes those shabads relatable to us.

We talked about his earliest influences, and how he created this new genre of fusion kirtan, which is so unique. We are delighted to have a new understanding of how the purpose of life is to sing – but to nurture that purpose, how we must first know what is our song. We talked about how to live and celebrate our gifts. About 1Ness and how it is reflected in his music. About Holi, Rang Ratta, and Ragas. About storytelling being a huge part of his compositions. And in the end, a fun game where Anika gave Shivpreet Ji situations and he had to respond back with a shabad… in his answer, he sang most of those shabads, which is an absolute treat to hear!
