Well, yesterday I had the pleasure of catching up with a colleague from a previous job. New to I.T., bless his heart, and apparently knee-deep studying for certifications. He’s using Hyper-V to build virtual machines. You know, because nothing screams “fun” like virtual servers.

Anyway, I told him, "Once you stop stumbling through the Hyper-V GUI like a caveman, maybe switch to PowerShell and actually get something done efficiently." Because honestly, clicking around is so… pedestrian.

And since your lab or work life is probably a time-sucking vortex of doom, using PowerShell scripts with scheduled jobs or trigger events is how you reclaim your life. Or what's left of it, anyway.

Oh, and bonus: you’ll look like an absolute sysadmin god when people see you casually dropping PowerShell commands. You know, in case impressing coworkers is your thing.
