The Covid 19 pandemic has been a difficult time for everyone, but for people with dementia and their families the isolation and change in routine can be even more detrimental to wellbeing. Dementia NI member Davie McElhinney usually participates in group meetings with others living with dementia in Northern Ireland. During the pandemic these meetings have been hosted virtually via Zoom. Although Davie rarely used the internet before, he has found the virtual Zoom groups and Facebook support group have provided him with connection to others, and opportunities for engagement and participation.
