We was completely knackered when we got to the secret spot and was completely shocked to see all the shingle and sand completely gone i would say probably at least 2ft of it all gone although the spot can barely fish 2 people in it and to be fair 4 rods is a push to fish there but half a mile walk over big boulders was hard work in the muggy conditions......

Still back at the car and because we was knackered an easy venue was chosen......Stinkpot at Shanklin easy venue and can produce the goods.... mixed ground and on occasion can be snaggy......

And surprise surprise the Strap Eels were in force....still a little chunky one of 8lb 6oz put a slight bend in the rod I've had them to easily 30-40lb back in the day
Rays and good bass are quite often caught there...
