Lockdown Lookback: Balbriggan Boat Man

What is it about harbours? In very few other situations, would you mooch around a workplace and then stand watching someone else doing their work.

I was thinking about this the other day, while wandering around a harbour. There moored, were a trawler and two survey vessels and I was having a good nose from the pier.

I noticed a man sitting on the bridge ('in the bridge'?) of one of the ships. He glanced up at me and I'm sure he was thinking, "Has that eejit nothing better to be doing than standing there looking at me working?"

All of which recalled for me this video, one of the earliest I made for this page, in Balbriggan harbour in North County Dublin with Shane Kennedy.

Now there's a man who'd understand the fascination with harbours.
