Learn to create aliases in the Linux CentOS 8. Alias is the nickname or the shortcut for the commands to make them easier. Alias can be used to avoid typing the long commands. Using the alias, we can replace the long commands with shortcuts. It can save a lot of time and effort.
Alias is created in the hidden file named ".bashrc" which is located in the root directory or the home directory of the user. We can edit the .bashrc file can create our own aliases to replace any existing commands in the linux. Single alias can only be used for a single command.
