Song For Zula - Live Loop Pedal - Phosphorescent Cover

This is a live looping cover that I recorded at Desert Fish Studios in Toronto. I've had the BOSS RC-50 loop pedal for a while but it's got a bit of a learning curve. I absolutely love this song and thought it would be a great song to loop because the chords stay constant throughout the song.

In order, these are the loops:
1. Drum loop - just a simple beat I created in Pro Tools using the BOOM plugin. Then I uploaded it to the pedal through USB.
2. Shaker (need I say more)
3. Bass - using a bass patch on a MicroKORG which I added delay to
4. Background vocals - recorded 3 consecutive harmonies to make chords
5. Synth line - I chose a synth patch on the MicroKORG to record the string part

The loops went from the pedal into Pro Tools, and the lead vocals and keyboard went straight into Pro Tools and it was all mixed by Sydney Galbraith at Desert Fish Studios.
