3. SOUNDBITE (English) Andreas Zimmer, Head of Product, Huawei Europe:
"Running is the most universal sport on Earth, because basically you don't need much equipment, you just go for a run. So it is very, very appealing for a lot of people, also maybe to just stay fit or for your health you don't have to be a pro runner. So we try to actually deliver a product that appeals to a broad range of runners."

6. SOUNDBITE (English) Andreas Zimmer, Head of Product, Huawei Europe:
"So we focused on two primary things. One is to make the hardware as compact and light as possible. And to have a hardware that really allows us to get a good GPS signal. And the second one was to actually work with runners on delivering the metrics and the features that they need to manage their runs, especially over a longer period of running, like for example a marathon. So that's why we have the intelligent marathon mode to help you manage your pace and finish the marathon in the time you expect."

11. SOUNDBITE (English) Jeffrey Towson, tech expert, former professor at Peking University:
"So there's this question of how do you get real traction in Europe, and maybe with a significant part of the market doesn't necessarily know that much about you. So you look for something that's going to have real power with a subgroup that cares a lot. Who cares a a lot about watches? Runners. Runners, have you ever talked to runners? Runner's really care about running. So if you give them a top tier product that can do stuff that others can't do, because you have better technology than everybody else, which they do, that's a really great sort of, we call that the white hot centre, right? That's a group that could really get excited about this and get traction."

14. SOUNDBITE (English) Andreas Zimmer, Head of Product, Huawei Europe:
"So the Mate 80 Pro is our flagship bar phone, as opposed to folding phone. It basically also received a complete redesign. You can see that because on the back, you have these dual rings. So it's very recognisable as soon as you see the device. Of course, as always, it comes in beautiful colours. We also focused on durability. So for example, it's six metre water and dust resistant, which is something very special, so it's rugged without looking or feeling like a rugged phone. And then the Mate series is also about performance and photography. And here we also have our latest cameras in there."
