Taraweeh is one of the many blessings that Holy month of Ramadan brings for us. Offering this special prayer for the entire month of Ramadan provides spiritual as well as medical benefits. It not only purifies our soul but also keeps us healthy and fit.

The Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) went out one night during the final year of his life and offered Taraweeh. Some individuals accompanied him in prayer that evening. On the second night, word of the Taraweeh circulated, and more individuals joined.
The two most common methods of praying Taraweeh are the 20 rak'ahs method and the 8 rak'ahs method, with a short break after every 4 or 2 rak'ahs. Regardless of the method used, each rak'ah begins with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a portion of the Quran.
