When a man retreats right after real intimacy, it is not always a sign the moment was meaningless. Often the depth did exactly what depth is supposed to do. It revealed him to himself. Not your job to fill, not your responsibility to fix. If you chase him, you teach him that he can have closeness without capacity. If you hold your center, you teach him that access requires readiness.

Let him sit with the quiet he created. If the connection was real, it will call him forward, but only if he is willing to grow. The right man will not run from the feeling you awaken. He will learn to stand inside it with you. Your role is not to make him comfortable. Your role is to stay honest about the level of love you are available for.
