Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. Located a short drive north of Denver, Fort Collins is a vibrant town full of local eateries, pubs, boutiques and home to Colorado State University. With 300 days of sunshine, it is hard to deny that people like to get outdoors here all year round. It’s one of the most beautiful and walkable cities in Colorado.

As you view the video, you get a feel for settler life in the well-preserved downtown Fort Collins historic district that includes over twenty restored buildings. Included is the Northern Hotel, a Fort Collins landmark that was restored to its former “Art Deco” elegance.
