The Rise of the Cybermen (Rise of the Cybermen and The Age of Steel Unreleased Music Suite)

Back in late 2016 I produced a series of three episodically-themed suites of unreleased music from Series One. The series is now back, and we've moved onto covering Series Two - the second-most poorly represented series on official soundtrack releases, in my opinion. This is because a lot of the stuff from it (like with Series One) was rerecorded with an orchestra for the official soundtrack release, meaning that the original sampled and electronic stuff like this has never seen the light of day. I get very nostalgic for this sort of "early RTD era" sound.

Anyway, this is the cleanest this stuff is ever going to sound barring an (*incredibly* unlikely) further soundtrack release of some early Murray stuff further down the line. Particularly unlikely because (as is my understanding) the master copies of a lot of the pre-orchestral Series One and Two stuff simply doesn't exist any more.

My intention with this series is to cover Army of Ghosts and Doomsday in its own suite, along with perhaps New Earth, The Girl in the Fireplace, and The Impossible Planet two-parter together. This would leave the remaining suite for Earthbound adventures: Tooth and Claw, The Idiot's Lantern, School Reunion, Fear Her and Love & Monsters.
