Pee-wee's Playhouse (1986-1990): What Happened To This Series?

In the 80s, something unique happened. Something as unique and special as the guy who made it happen. That man was the late great Paul Reubens, and the show was a little something called Pee-wee’s Playhouse. The Playhouse would be a gathering place that would let kids be kids and be as imaginative as they wanted to be. It would motivate creativity, let them know it was okay to be weird, and would be fun enough that adults would enjoy it, too.

The Playhouse would stand out on Saturday Mornings because it was a live-action show in a land filled with cartoons like Jim Henson's Muppet Babies, Pound Puppies, and Galaxy High. Pee Wee would reign as king of the playhouse, alongside the King of Cartoons, for 5 glorious seasons. So, let's view our Magic Screens and take a trip back through time to Puppetland.
