Drawing on the ReMarkable2 Tablet!

Описание к видео Drawing on the ReMarkable2 Tablet!

First of all- this ain't no sponsored post- I'm just an obscure cartoonist who loves digital art, and my curiosity led me to purchase a ReMarkable2 for my own personal use!
Is the ReMarkable2 Tablet good for drawing? Does it integrate smoothly into a solid digital art workflow? Sorta! So about me: I'm a cartoonist and a digital artist (The other videos on my channel are art tutorials I make in Clip Studio on iPad pro).
In this video, I demonstrate (briefly) a bit of the variety in the drawing tools, how they work, and how you can go about using it to make print quality art.
If you don't have time to watch the whole video, here's the spoiler:
1) It's a lot of fun to draw on- feels great, looks great on the e-paper display
2) Making art at a proper print-resolution is a bit of a pain- it exports .png too small in my opinion... but it's not impossible- it requires some PC/iPad work arounds to upscale the .svg output (i demonstrate my work around in this video), I think it'd just be faster to use it to sketch on, then import a low-res sketch into proper drawing software to ink. Apparently ReMarkable releases software updates all the time- if they let you choose the export resolution of the .png, that would go a long way to making it more usable for print-ready art.
3) I think it should be cheaper- it's a niche device that, if it were cheaper, more people could enjoy- but the $600 price tag is going to turn a lot of people off of it. Also- calling it a tablet is a stretch, it's more of a e-reader with note taking functionality.
4) With all of that in mind, I use it every day and I love it. I primarily do my sketch layers for art on it, it feels so much like drawing with a pencil on paper, but with the advantages of digital editing. pretty rad!
