Seiko is the champion of automatic watches for people who have less than 500 dollars to burn. (Sorry Tissot and Hamilton, you’re been great and people love you too, but you need to try a bit harder). But almost everyone and their mothers will tell you to watch out for Franken watches. What is a Franken watch? This beauty, my new old Seiko 6139-6009 popularized by Colonel Pogue. It’s not a big deal, really. It’s just the first automatic chronograph is space. You know what i mean. Nothing to stop the presses with. I don’t know about you but this watch is far more interesting than what anything Tudor released this year in watches and wonders. That you can tell your mom.
