Rotten Souls - Descendants Mashup

Credit to Mark Robens for the Poor Unfortunate Souls instrumental remake!! Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!! ☘️

I got requested by The Legends to do a mashup of Poor Unfortunate Souls and Rotten to the Core, which took me some time, but I’ve been pretty busy & it took some time to perfect, too. But I’m still really happy with the end result!! I feel like I have more of a handle over audacity too, so thats good as well!!

Just like I said with the Evil/Poor Unfortunate Souls video, this kind of makes me think of a scenario that could have occurred in-universe as well; except this time, its something that I don’t believe actually canonically happened, but could have, if that makes sense? Basically, I don’t remember where I heard it, but I saw someone propose the idea that one of the reasons Uma hates Mal so much is not only because of their messy breakup, but also because Uma felt left out when Mal would go off with Carlos, Jay, and namely Evie.

This person also proposed the idea that, before Uma and Mal really split, Uma wanted to be part of Mal’s gang, but Carlos was the only one that was really okay with it for some reason. In the end, Mal & Uma kept butting heads, and they ended on a sour note before going their separate ways. Still, I like to think that this mashup could sort of take place in a scenario where Uma could have actually joined their crew?

Think about it; if she was close with all four of them like that, maybe Ben would have noticed and then offered her to go to Auradon earlier too? Maybe not though, since it seems like he felt starting with four kids was as much as he could have done at the time. But still, its interesting thinking of all the possibilities & how it would affect the timeline?

Still though, thank you so so much for listening!! This was pretty fun to make!!
