Basilosaurus was a fierce & aggressive & Predatory Sea King Lizard Monster Judging by its Picture. Basilosaurus bones or fossils were first discovered in The United States Of America Specifically Louisiana Around the mid 1830s. However Basilosaurus was NEVER classified as a Lizard or A Reptile. Basilosaurus was Classified Hugh mungus & Enourmous Ancient Whale that roamed the sea with more survival like features than modern day whales that you see in the 21st century. When Basilasaurus was initially discovered they estimated that this sea creature was gigantic based off of the size of the fossils. Before you go to bed tonight try not to imagine falling in the sea an accidentally being swallowed by by a Basilosaurus. A Full & complete Basilosaurus skeleton was found in 2015, and many attempts have been made to accurately reconstruct re connect and rebuild the vertebral column from partial skeletons of an estimated a total of 58 vertebrae, based on two partial and non overlapping skeletons from Alabama. More full and complete basilosarus fossils found in Egypt in the 1990s created a more accurate estimation to go on. Basilosaurus was a genus of prehistoric cetacean that existed during the Late Eocene, 40 to 35 million years ago (mya). The head of Basilosaurus did not have room for a melon like modern toothed whales, and the brain was smaller in comparison to modern day 21st century whales. Although the basilosaurus did NOT communicate like modern day whales its still was a deadly predator at the time period.
