Working with a husband and wife, Hedy Schleifer explains the second Invisible Connector, The Bridge, and the importance of crossing the bridge. Hedy explains how the husband and wife have different worlds, with different languages and cultures. Hedy tells them they have a narrow bridge between their worlds, a one-way bridge where one must walk to the other's world to visit. Hedy explains what makes a good "visitor". A visitor must leave their past and their emotions and enter their partner's world, with their full essence and fully in the present. Hedy explains that the couple must learn the "Art of Visiting" and the "Art of Hosting". As a visitor, one must walk into their partner's world with open eyes and curiosity. As a host, one must open up their world and invite their visitor into their vulnerable and genuine world. Hedy then demonstrates this with the couple. Hedy explains that everyone's world has different neighborhoods, positive and negative, some unknown to the host. The host must welcome the visitor to one specific neighborhood, and the visitor must visit with compassion. Hedy guides the wife as she hosts her husband in her world, and guides the husband as he visits. Hedy instructs the visitor to ask a very important question, "Have I got you?", meaning, "Am I with you?". Quoting the philosophers Plato and Martin Buber, Hedy explains that to truly understand one's own soul, one must learn to understand another's soul.
