Instructions:

Materials:
2 Wooden Dowels
twine or string
3+ small feathers and 1 large feather
bells (optional)
Scissors
strong non-toxic glue
Paper plate (optional to ease applying glue)

Steps:
0 - Place some flue on the paper plate
Steps for first "flying feathers" wand:
1 - Cut a 1.5m length of twine
2 - Cut a short notch into one end of a dowel
3 - Dip the notch into the glue
4 - Press the end of the twine into the notch
5 - Cover the end of the dowel with the notch and twine in glue
6 - Wrap the twine around the end of the dowel
7 - Clamp down the twine with a washing peg until the glue dries
9 - Cover the other end of the twine in glue
10 - Fan out the small feathers
11 - Wrap the twine around the feathers
12 - Add glue to the twine while wrapping
13 - Wrap the twine between the feathers
14 - Tie the twine around the feathers
15 - Leave for the glue to dry!
Steps for Static feather wand:
1 - Cut a long notch into the end of a dowel (long enough for the stalk of the large feather to fit in)
2 - Apply glue to the large feather stalk
3 - Insert the large feather's stalk into the notch
4 - Cut a short length of twine (about 40 cm)
5 - Optionally tie a bell onto the middle of the twine
6 - Cover the notch in glue
7 - Tightly wrap the twine on the end of the dowel around the notch, keeping the bell open
8 - If necessary add more glue to the twine while wrapping
9 - Secure the twine in place with a washing peg until the glue dries
