Windsurfing 1994 Mistral Equipe II XR Sailing Belhaven NC to Pungo Creek March 4 '23

My 3rd and most used old Raceboard, the Mistral Equipe II XR (1994), a great all-around board. Round trip from Highway 99 Bridge on Pungo Creek to Belhaven waterfront with some beam reaches on the width of Pantego Creek. Wind was a gusty NW all day ranging 15 to 25 mph. Max speed with chop was 19 mph, but rarely maintained. Board rigged with Black Projects 42" Weed Fin and my 7.8 Neilpryde RS One Convertible sail.

Found a new speed zone between Breakwater Gap and ol' Persimmon Tree Point on Pungo River. With wind blowing NW, the marsh limits wave action hopefully allowing more speed ... I think I'll be back.
