Описание к видео Welcome to Algeria Vol.2 - GHARDAÏA | Exploring Ksars & markets, buying crafts & rescuing a kitten!

Welcome to Algeria, a country in the north of Africa whose rich and diverse history, culture and beauty make it the perfect travel destination. In this video we explore Ghardaïa, a city of fascinating customs and captivating beauty.

We were able to spend a total of 3 days there, and we totally fell in love.

Some useful information in case you also want to visit:
- The Ksars can only be visited with a local guide, but this is very easy to arrange by going to the official tourism offices. They can normally take you on the spot, and the tours only cost around 190-250DZD (0.90-1.20€) per person. You do NOT need to get the pricey circuits organised by the hotels and travel agencies, unless you want to of course.
- Location of the Ghardaïa Tourism association: https://goo.gl/maps/dodcayc6h6ApzSca6 Our guide, Babouhoun Ibrahim, was really knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. We’d totally recommend him!
- Location of the Beni-Isguen Tourism association: https://goo.gl/maps/L3ZVb5jMeARcg2n79 It is recommended to go to Beni-Isguen in the afternoon/evening because the sunset is best from there.
- This is roughly the location of the carpet shop we got ours from: https://goo.gl/maps/ia5iFEaYjQRTNaAN6 There are so many lovely shops/options and in our experience the sellers are all very kind and fair with their pricing.
- This is roughly the location of the pottery shop: https://goo.gl/maps/VQLFPKY5jjNXZmvR9 Really worth a visit as it is the only shop we saw specialised in this craft. Plus the owner is very nice!
- Bus tickets to anywhere can be bought directly at the bus station. There are multiples companies that have different timetables and slightly varying prices, so ask around.
