Quick Beginner Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom Video 002

Описание к видео Quick Beginner Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom Video 002

I'm a newbie weaver and spinner! I'm challenging myself to weave (and film) a new project every week. This second week uses a Lana Grossa 94% wool/6% polyamide (Landlust Merino 120 in Yellow) for the warp and a lovely 80% wool and 20% silk yarn from Cloud9 Fibers (Vivace in the color Bahama Queen) for the weft. The loom is an Ashford 24" Rigid Heddle Loom. The warp length was about 70", with the final project length being about 53".

I was very intentionally messy with the edges for two reasons. One: I really like the rustic look of imperfect edges. Two: I've been too much of a perfectionist in my life. I need the practice of being an imperfectionist.

My goal with my weaving is to embrace imperfection while I'm learning. My goal for filming is just to make sure the camera is recording. I'm very new and have little technical expertise (and no money for equipment). Hopefully, I'll improve as I go!
