Old Montreal or Vieux-Montréal is a historical neighborhood in the City of Montreal. During my trip, I stayed in Old Montreal and I highly recommend you too. The area is so charming and though provoking you will want to come here again and again. (in fact, in this video I have merged footage from several days).

You can and you should roam around Old Montreal by foot or bike. Because you don't want to miss the euro-vibe experience. Yes, this is the place where you see olden days' charm. Please take your time to checkout the places mentioned in the video (due to covid, we couldn't go inside any of them, but I am determined to visit Montreal again so next time I will)

Montreal will take you to the history of Canada, which might not be very pleasant, but this is what Canada is made of.

Old Custom House
Montreal's first custom house. The building was completed in 1836.
Since 1992, the Custom House has formed part of Pointe-à-Callière, the Montréal Museum of Archaeology and History, and is connected by underground passageway to other buildings in the museum complex.

Place Jacques-Cartier Erected in 1809 is dedicated to the memory of Admiral Horatio Nelson, following his death at the Battle of Trafalgar.

Bonsecours Market
350 rue Saint-Paul
Completed in 1847 is a two-story domed public market. For more than 100 years, it was the main public market in the Montreal area. It also briefly accommodated the Parliament of United Canada for one session in 1849.

Our historic site began in 1705 when Claude de Ramezay, then Governor of Montréal, decided to build a residence. The Château Ramezay is a private, non-profit organization. It was the first building proclaimed an historical monument in Québec and is the province’s oldest private history museum.
